    Today the incubator arrived with 10 eggs. Over the next 3 days we are expecting some new arrivals. The incubator is in the main entrance to the Academy so please feel free to pop in and have a look.

  • Chinese New Year Festival Day

    The children enjoyed a whole Academy focus day based on a wealth of activities related to The Chinese New Year. The Nursery children performed the Dragon Dance all around the Academy and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

  • Meet Harry!

    We have a new addition to the Rowena family! Meet Harry the 12 week old rabbit who we have adopted as our new school pet.

  • Kids Can Cook

    Well done to our 'Kids can Cook' group who had a great time making kofta today. There were lots of happy faces as they took their kofta home to try.

  • Harvest Festival

    3rd October 2017

    A huge thank you to everyone who sent in items for our special Harvest Festival Assembly. The response was incredible. All the donations were colledted by Doncaster Foodbank charity in Doncaster.

    A special thanks to Revd Martijn Mugge (Vicar at St Peter’s Conisbrough) who led our Harvest Festival Assembly.

  • The Bungalow @ Rowena Academy

    In partnership with De Warenne Academy we now have use of 'The Bungalow' for Family Learning Courses and meetings. Watch out for information about how to sign up for one of our Family Learning courses.

  • Summer Fayre

    A huge thank you to everyone who supported us at the Summer Fayre. We raised an incredible £1035.16. Thank you all for your continued support.

  • What a good sport!!!

    A huge thank you to Mr Tindle who volunteered to have wet sponges thrown at him to raise extra funds at our Summer Fayre. We are sure you will all agree it was great fun!!!

  • Bluebell Wood Donation

    25th December 2016

    This year the Academy Council suggested that instead of sending Christmas cards to each other the staff made donations to Bluebell Wood. The staff thought this was a good idea and the Academy Council collected donations of £88.06 from the adults in school.

    We received a lovely email of thanks in response to our donation:

  • Christmas Jumper Day

    16th December 2016

    All the children and staff came to school wearing Christmas jumpers on the last day of term to raise money for Save the Children. The event raised an amazing £166.51!! Well done everyone.

  • The Magic Castle Pantomime

    16th December 2016

    On the last day of term the whole school enjoyed a performance of The Magic Castle by Chaplins. A great deal of FUN was had by ALL!!

  • Christmas Fayre

    2nd December 2016

    A huge thank you to everyone who supported us at the Christmas Fayre. We raised an incredible £1506.88. Thank you all for your continued support.

  • Remembrance Day 2016

    11th November 2016

    The children sold poppies and new poppy related items (wristbands, bracelets etc) in school all week to raise money for the Royal British Legion. Can we say a Big Thank You to everyone who supported this worthwhile cause. We raised an impressive £240.91.
