Academy Results

Standard Assessment Tasks are completed for all children at the end of each Key Stage 1 (Year 2). The Key Stage One results for the last three years are shown below. All the figures are expressed as a percentage of children, rounded to the nearest whole number. The relevant national percentage is given to provide context to the results. A more detailed breakdown of the results, including separate percentages for girls and boys, can be provided on request.

In 2016 there were considerable changes to the KS1 Curriculum, so much so, that the results cannot be compared to those of previous years. 2016 results are shown below compared to the national for the country. Results for previous years are also listed below.

Year One / Two Phonics Screening

All children in Year One now take a statutory Phonics Screening Check in June.  The check contained a mix of 40 real words and nonsense words and is designed to see whether children are able to decode words using phonics. Children who do not achieve the expected standard retake the Phonics Screening Check in Year 2.
